Experienced Professional with Architecture and Structural Engineering formal training. Eight years of experience in Design and Engineering for Sustainable Construction. Seeking new opportunities in the US to gain further experience and knowledge in Structural Engineering. Passionate about integrating new technologies that enrich project aesthetics and reduce costs.

Gala & Associates (2020-Present)
Firm provider of architectural and engineering consulting services in the automotive and industrial markets
Conducted site inspections and reviewed existing drawings to determine current structural configuration. Determine Gravity loads and Wind loads for Industrial Buildings according to ASCE 7 and IBC.
Analyzed and Designed steel structures for heavy industry buildings according AISC using ASD.
Analyzed and Design of Steel Connections Bolted and Welded according to AISC using ASD.
Analyzed and Designed concrete foundations for heavy industry buildings according to ACI 318.

Working at the Bowen Laboratory a large-scale civil engineering research center.
Part of a team of graduate students visualizing experiments to test Modular Steel Plate Composites specimens.
Use my drafting experience to visualize possible layouts and configurations to test connections for shear walls and coupling beams.
Participated in the construction and testing of various composite specimens.

Real Estate Developer for industrial parks in Monterrey, Mexico which also offers construction services to lessees to adapt the buildings to their needs.
Responsible of construction and fabrication documents like:
Fabrication drawings for metallic elements like emergency exit stairs, handrails, canopies and billboards.
Design and construction documents for warehouse, guardhouses and workers facilities using Tilt-up Concrete construction.
MEP and Construction Documents for offices inside the industrial buildings
Documentation for LEED accreditation of buildings.
From this experience what I learn was to work in an ordered way and generate parametric tools through the CAD and BIM documents in order to handle the huge load of construction documents required for all the industrial parks.
The commitment of the developer for LEED construction inspired me to pursue my LEED AP credential.

Environmental Consulting office in Monterrey, Mexico with a specialty in sustainable design and engineering.
Designed two residential projects with sustainable principles and design.
Coordinated with client, contractor and engineers.
Monitored Permits and Approval for Construction Licenses for New Construction in San Pedro, Mexico.
Analyzed and developed project documentation for LEED Core and Shell project for industrial warehouses.
That experience consolidated my Revit skills for design and construction documents and also was able to earn a LEED Green Associate credential.

Planning, Programming and Control Professional
Proyectos y Promociones de Linares (2012-2013)
Real Estate Developer focused in low income housing projects in Linares, Mexico.
Create Construction Documents, Budget and Programming for a Low Income Housing project of 300 single- dwelling house, from Neighborhood Infrastructure to finished house.
Estimated, ordered and supplied construction material for job site.
Supervised construction for the project and two house expansions.
Attend to several workshops, the most significant, a Construction Management workshop from the Mexican Council for the Construction Industry.
It was a valuable experience for me because for construction there was only me and a superintendent dealing with the common setbacks of construction and handling subcontractors, government and housing authorities in order to deliver a good house for hard working people.
This experience was my main motivation to pursue a Civil Engineering degree.

Architecture Designer

An architecture studio located in Monterrey, Mexico who intervenes in architecture, urbanism, landscape, interior design and construction, under the leadership of Alexandre Lenoir.
My experience as a designer was in the production of Construction Documents for Office and Housing projects.
It was a significant experience to me since I was part in the transition of the office from using CAD to REVIT software.

Architecture Intern
CYARQ (2010)
Architectural firm located in Monterrey, Mexico in charge of design for commercial and housing projects.
My experience as an intern consisted in collaboration under an architect to develop architectural concepts through physical or digital models.
Developed my software skills like the Adobe and Autodesk suite.

Special Design Course
Sustainable Design
Colaborated as Part of KIIN team representing ITESM for the Solar Decathlon 2010 Competition with other nineteen Universities, for a sustainable single-dwelling design using solar energy.
Developed the project inside the Academic Sphere of Innovation center (INNOVATEC) at ITESM.
Visited previous entries at U.T. and Texas A&M as well as visit the 2009 Solar Decathlon Competition held in Washington DC to learn about sustainble design and construction
Oversaw as Architectural Design and Health and Safety operations of the project.
Co-Led in a multidisciplinary environment to integrate all building technologies.

Cultural Experience
Music
During my time as a student, I participated as a musician for Raices, a school art company that promotes Folk Music and Dances from Mexico.
Had the opportunity to represent my country's traditions in folk festival in the US, Canada and Europe.
Received the High Performance and the DEXFI award for my participation in cultural activities.
